who is christine smith and why was she so disliked???
Smith was a really low-tier candidate (voted off the island in the first round with less than 1%)… who really, REALLY wanted to be on TV.
In the week before the convention, she pissed off a lot of people by going on a radio show and smearing Mary Ruwart (the main “anybody-but-Barr” candidate). Then at the convention, she flipped 180-degrees and blasted Barr on national TV. She doesn’t really have any friends left anywhere at this point.
Steve’s description of Smith is dead on.
When she gave her nominating speech, she got on stage and looked around the room for ten seconds before saying anything.
That was the biggest stage she’ll ever be on.
No prayer breakfast??? What are you people, against GOD? 😉
Excellent work, JP. Thanks for doing this.
Now, can we get you to do that ‘neck’ thing that Stone Phillips does? Its the closest thing we will get to MSM coverage on this convention.
Bill: I thought about making a comment along the lines of I pray at breakfast you get a butt boil, but since I’m an atheist it would be a meaningless prayer anyway. But I decided not to.
Do the Christian thing. Forgive us.
You don’t know the half of it, Bill… I didn’t even see many American flag lapel pins!
LOL! Good one, Steve.
Neck thing?
I don’t really watch much tv these days.
Well, we did have one member of the Georgia delegation with an American flag shirt.
I bought my American Flag tie at an LP convention. I’m not sure I’ve ever worn it. Too Gaudy.
