Superintendent John Thompson, with his “Greatest Contract In The World,” says that he will satisfy the nine mandates laid out by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools by July 15, 2008. Yes, he’ll have it done within around 53 days.
With no more school board meetings before the end of classes, many parents said they want a check-off list for the association’s nine mandates. Thompson is reluctant to go down the list and said he sees “ambiguity” in some of the mandates.
Come July, I suspect that he’ll see some “ambiguity” in his self-imposed deadline, as well.
