1. Bull Moose says:

Wow – I did not, have not, and would not accuse anyone of rape.

That’s a surprising low blow even for someone on Peach Pundit.

  2. JRM2016 says:

Having attended the YR Convention, I can confirm that Clint did not make any such accusation.

But there was an accusation made regarding someone in attendance by another YR.

  3. voice of reason says:

“…Ray McKinney’s campaign chair Clint Murphy. Mr. Murphy, who at the same covention, accused another Crystal staffer of rape.”

WOW! What kind of soap opera lovin’ drama queens are you people? Can we PLEASE stay focused on the important issues… like what’s good for the 12th district. Let’s stop sniping with one another and get to the bottom of things so we can beat John Barrow in November… PLEASE!!!!

Last I checked, what two opposing campaigners say about EACHOTHER has NOTHING to do with the candidates themselves… who are supposed to be the issue!

  4. LymanHall says:

    FACT: Who cares?
FACT: Neither of these guys has a chance in hell against John Barrow.
FACT: Reporting on the Dem side of the race would be much more interesting.

  5. Romegaguy says:

Wow. I think Andre got the attention for this “story” that he didnt get from posting it on his own blog…

  6. Holly says:

Is Ben Crystal not raising money? He has no filing online with the FEC, which means he 1) is out of compliance with his forms or 2) hasn’t raised $5,000. I’d assume the latter is the reason before assuming the former, but that makes me wonder how his campaign plans to compete?

i have been and am still exceedingly hesitant to tread into this area-i have not said much about this race at all other than poking fun at stone’s living in the 10th and pointing out that ben and ray are serious candidates even if they don’t have what would be considered a more traditional resume for a congressional candidate-and will try to self edit my comments as i go along–hopefully it won’t be a dissertation–but i make no promises–i have friends in both the sav’h based campaigns and it has been hard to watch friends go after eachother so personally–it should be a feather in the YR’s cap that both those campaigns have YR’s in such prominent positions–but the YR stuff is a story for another day…

i met ray about a year ago when he was “running for vice president” yeah it was a little different and i told him over lunch it was a fool’s errand but i did get the point he was trying to make even if i was not sure he’d actually be able to make it. i am supporting ray (i probably would have supported wayne mosley had he run, but he did not and i like and respect ray and am proud to stand w/ him)–i will be happy to discuss voting for ray also if anyone is interested.

the caveat: i called and spoke to ray yesterday and asked him if this crystal stuff was coming from him–he 100% assured me that it was not coming from him and that if was coming from someone working for him they were pulling one over on him b/c he has specifically told them to leave it alone–in fact the day after ben announced ray started getting emails that he has been ignoring all along as he did not think it was “fair game” in the race. if it were to turn out the mckinney folks are behind this, it would go against what i think ray stands for and i would not be able to continue supporting him. i don’t really want to get into the specifics of the divorce allegations and such but if any of it is actually true and not just a scorned wife trying to get even–i will be stuck w/ the guy that lives in paul broun’s district–we need to focus on defeating the dems and not shoot ourselves in the foot in a district where we might actually make some progress for the gop
