Obama Will/Won’t Help General Assembly Races

As Obama Mania spreads across the land, State Rep. Rob Teilhet (D-Smyrna), says that it has changed the landscape for upcoming state elections, as the AJC reports.

While Teilhet declined to discuss specifics of the party’s strategy, he said the party has identified 30 to 35 House districts that “are either competitive or may become competitive. We’ve got gains that can be made in urban and suburban parts of the state,” he said, adding that there are districts in Middle and South Georgia “that are particularly ripe for an Obama candidacy.”

Of course, the Georgia GOP disagrees, as UPI reports.

I guess we’ll also get to see how popular Rev. Jeremiah Wright and WU-hot shot Will Ayers are.
