RE: Club for Growth supporting Broun

Here is the press release from the Club:

The Club for Growth PAC endorsed Republican Representative Paul Broun in Georgia’s Tenth Congressional District.

Although Rep. Broun has only been in Congress nine months, he has already shown himself to be a conservative stalwart on economic issues. He received a 100% on the Club for Growth’s RePORK Card, voting against all pork projects for which he was present, and has recently taken a self-imposed moratorium on earmarks. Broun is also a strong supporter of tax cuts, limited government, and free market policies.

“In his short time in Congress, Paul Broun has proven himself to be a valuable member of the Republican Caucus and the Republican Study Committee,” said Club for Growth President Pat Toomey. “He has stood steadfast against wasteful government spending and big-government initiatives even if it meant voting against his Party. The Club for Growth PAC will do whatever it takes to help Rep. Broun earn a full term.”

  1. Jace Walden says:

I lost a lot of respect for Paul Broun when he decided that me and my fellow soldiers shouldn’t have the responsibility to decide whether or not we want to spend our hard-earned money on a Playboy.

Republicans have no problem sending an 18 year-old kid to be blown to pieces by an IED, he’s old enough to make that decision. But God forbid that same kid want to buy a porno. He ain’t good enough for that.

Crap like this always helps me remember that I made the right decision by not staying with the Republicrap party.

  2. Jane says:

It is not about porn, it is about the Government competing unfairly against the private sector. Reducing porn sales on base will create more private sector jobs just off base and the government should never provide a service that could better be served by the private sector. I guess Jace is just a Big Government Libertarian?

As a woman, there is also the possible liability for creating an uncomfortable working environment. I do not care, but Feminists lawyers would have a field day.

It is 100% about porn or stopping the soldiers from seeing boobies. If it were about private sector versus government sector competing for jobs then the Broun’s bill would be for an outright ban of all military base PXs.

  4. Jace Walden says:

Jane. I can be blown up by an IED. If I want to see tits and @$$, I should have that right. On base and off base.

Trust me Jane, having porn on base would not discourage me from going off base and spending money to insure that other people have jobs.

Your explanation is the biggest crock of bulls*it I have ever read on here, and that is saying a lot.

    I hope you were joking.

  5. So, let’s get this straight. Those who are against the Congressman’s leadership are taking a principled position of integrity that American leaders and heroes (soldiers), should have the media provided on base so that they may… What?

Privates standing around masturbating? Is that the ideal goal that you are trying to reach? Everyone knows that is the objective of porn.

    Is unfaithfulness a virtue?

  6. Jace Walden says:

Crawl under a rock and die. No one forces the “privates” as you say to go buy porn, but they should have the right to buy it just like any other American.

Freedom is a virtue. Ask your mom about unfaithfulness. And tell her to bring the boots I left under her bed.

  7. Hank Reardan says:

The big proplem is some times a base is in the middle of no where. If you could not buy it on base you could not get it. i remember on my why to the persain gulf area in1988 i stop in Diegago Garcia which is a base that belongs to the Brits. They seach us for porn and took what ever they found because the Brits did not allow porn on base.
