But there are no bars anymore

Buckhead still claims to be a destination but all the bars are gone. How exactly can it be a destination without bars?

Forget Buckhead. Decatur’s the place to be.

Fado is back and better than ever, ESPN Zone is still there, plus about 4-5 other smaller bars that are still in business along with numerous restaurants on Peachtree and Lenox.

Granted, many are still gone and probably won’t be replaced for a couple of years… but there are hardly “no bars” in Buckhead.

Buckhead is still a nice upscale place to socialize… it’s just no longer a Mardi Gras style frat party with NFL players killing people.

Just a shame that Mike & Angelo’s and Mellow Muchroom are gone- They were the only places worth a damn left in b’head anyway

Fado rocks! I sure miss Steamhouse,Makos,and Tounge and Groove. Bring back Carlos Mcgees,Lulus Bait Shack,Aunt Charleys,Thrills,Acupolco Bar,Buckhead Beach,Good Old Days,Three Dollar Cafe and Studebakers.

Yeah, they shut down a couple of my favorite places. Very disappointed. Though at least Fado stays.

No offense, liberator, but Tongue and Groove is soooooo overrated. Really not a big fan.

Decatur?

My office is in Decatur and it’s fine if you like lesbians and ugly girls. There are some neat places to hang out, but nothing to look at while you’re there. Oh, and by lesbians I don’t mean the hot sexy kind but the butch not even remotely attractive kind.
