Here we go with the conspiracy theory stuff. Anyway, I was talking about John Barrow possible being primaried. I’d like to see WHY Barrow should be voted out in favor of a Democrat who might not be able to win the seat.

Take for example Jim Marshall. He’s voted like his district wants yet many “progressives” outside of the district are angry because he doesn’t tow the party line. He chooses to vote his district rather than his party and because of this he gets “progressives” from Atlanta working against him because he’s not liberal enough. He’s not liberal because his district is not a liberal district.

It’s the entire “I’d rather elect a Republican who never votes with me than elect a Democrat who votes with me 60% of the time”. It makes no sense!!!!!! A vote for Marshall’s primary opponent is a vote for Goddard.

Lewis is safe, personally I’d prefer someone more moderate and someone who represents Georgia’s values more, especially socially, but Lewis is doing what his district wants and that’s all that matters.

RuralDem – Georgia is a conservative state as long as Diebold counts the votes. I will also argue that Georgia is a too stupid to vote in their own best interest state (i.e. see occupants of offices under the Gold Dome).

For those two challenging the incumbents – they will lose big time, especially John Lewis. That seat is his until he dies or chooses not to run anymore.

Yet another attempt to purge a commonsense Democrat. I think some within the party have mistaken the recent Democratic wave around the country as an acceptance of the leftist ideology.

Georgia for one is a conservative state, always has been, and likely always will be.

Bull Moose…with all due respect, you must not know the same Regina Thomas that I know. She is arrogant and ignorant, and that is a dangerous combination. She hates the white business establisment. She reminds me of Fulton County Commissioner Emma Darnell from my days in Atlanta. John Barrow has upwards of $1 million in the bank, according to news reports. Nonetheless, I do agree with you that simply because she is black she will be a big hurdle for Barrow.

This turns the 12th District race totally upside down… Regina is well respected and well liked throughout Chatham County as a straight shooter.

Rep. Lester Jackson will be running for her seat.
