The drought is no longer exceptional

by Erick on April 17, 2008

So say scientists.

The rainfall deficits in Gainesville and elsewhere in North Georgia remain at 12 inches or more for the past 12 months, but winter rains have eliminated the “exceptional” drought conditions.

The drought’s mother will no doubt continue to believe despite what those mean scientists say. “Don’t believe them Timmy. Don’t believe them.”

Eric Johnson will probably want to give the drought a voucher to attend a more severe water shortage so this drought can be “exceptional” again. Of course it won’t work. Vouchers never do.

Of course it won’t work on this water shortage.

You have to be peeing on my leg, I’m sailing again.

The drought is underperforming and in danger of losing its accreditation.

Environmental vouchers (Carbon credits) are not the invention of the right EAV
