The Carter Center has done tremendous work eradicating tracoma (a leading cause of blindness in several developing countries), treating malaria, addressing mental health problems, etc. etc. Maybe it’s just me, but it seems that regardless of one’s personal feelings for Carter the man, the work of the Carter Center is worth funding (and has little to do with that building on Freedom Parkway).
