WGST is reporting that the Georgia DOT Board Chairman Mike Evans has announced his resignation from the Board. He cites his development of a personal relationship with DOT Commissioner Gena Abraham as the reason.

Can we please get someone who will help sort out the mess that is DOT to be Chairman.
DOT is in trouble and it needs someone at the helm who will be an ally with the Commissioner to help clean it up, not someone who will play political favorites.
That essentially means no House Members!

Tom Graves lost his office and Chairmanship for supporting Mike Evans’ re-election to the DOT board. Evans promptly thanked him by resigning from the board over his love interest, who now is his fiance.
