Ted Turner says global warming will make us all cannibals within forty years, but according to the Goracle we’ll all be dead in less than ten. These prophets of doom need to get their stories straight.

Are you making stuff up to pretend Gore said it, or do you have a cite?

Hey Bubba, they have this thing called Google (Al Gore made a fortune from their IPO). Here’s a few links to save you the trouble:
An Inconvenient Truth website.
Or here in the New York Times

This is somewhat semantic but Gore never claims we will all be dead in 10 years.
He does however, say that some scientists believe that in a worst case scenario we might all die within a decade.
Fairly different from what you said though Buzz.

If you have more than two children you are contributing to the population explosion, less than two children you are helping reduce the world population. Turner has 5 children.
I’m so sick of these hypocrite, rich liberals with their do as I say not as I do mentality. Al Gore lives in a huge mansion and wastes far more resources then the average citizen. Same goes for Turner and his multiple houses. If they were actually serious about reducing their carbon footprint, they would live in a $150,000, two bedroom condo and fly coach - or better yet take a Greyhound bus.

Buzz:
I can see why you’d be embarrassed at being caught in a lie. I can’t think of any other reason you wouldn’t just pull a quote out of that long NYT article, if he said what you claim. He doesn’t, that I could find, but you were able to hide that. So I’m not going to waste any more time reading your other link. You made me doubt your credibility enough.
You could probably have made a cute joke that was actually true. But that would have taken more than 30 seconds, and most of the readers on this blog like your fake quote better, anyway.

Tell yourself whatever you need to Bubba.
