Hit the brakes on the General Assembly

They’re going to go long because of the budget.

Senate President Pro Tem Eric Johnson said Tuesday that a new calendar is coming out that will slow things down a bit after Gov. Sonny Perdue threw legislative budget writers a curve ball by cutting his revenue estimates for the current and following fiscal years.

We’ll have to keep our wallets and daughters locked up a little longer.

    The Senate has a good opportunity here. They should cut from the budget expendatures totalling the amount of the Car tax cut, starting with the approriator’s local assistance grants (aka Earmarks)

    It’s difficult to shake-off 100 years of spending habits in 6 years.

    It’s like trying to lose weight after eating junk food for 30 years.
