No surprise there, but what is a surprise is that nature of this suit.

A special school intended to educate Atlanta’s problem students is failing so miserably that it violates their constitutional rights, the American Civil Liberties Union claimed in a lawsuit announced Tuesday.
Both the Atlanta school system and the private company that operates the alternative school under a multimillion-dollar contract are to blame, according to the state Superior Court suit on behalf of eight students.

I don’t know anything about this school, but if half of what the ACLU is claiming is true, we’ve got a real problem.

  1. Rick Day says:

Oh, well if it is the ACLU, it has to be a bunch of liberal crap.

Erik, don’t you think an organization should be supported for defending the constitution, and AS not be subjected to ‘cherry-picking’ support issues?

One either supports the ACLU including financially, or one bad mouths everything they touch.

I support the ACLU, in spirit and in contribution.

to the subject matter: BWAHAHHAHAAA…stupid public corporate bureaucratically structured school system!

  2. Erick says:

Um Rick, I’m not in any way, shape, or form bashing the ACLU in this post. While I disagree fully with most of what they do, they do regularly file meritorious lawsuits for good causes too.
