Since the GREAT Plan is now no more, I vote we start calling it the CRAP Tax Plan:
CaR tax Annihilation Plan.
BTW, I like the present idea. Good on the Speaker for adapting to the political climate. Pitiful we spent all this time on a pipe dream instead of really engaging in other, more doable, serious reforms.

But then what would we have blogged about all summer long? Paul Broun not getting sworn in? Fred’s hot wife? McCain’s hot wife? Obama’s hot wife? Why Sonny Perdue won’t allow Sunday Sales for the children?

CRAP = Cede to Republicans in Atlanta Power.
I think that fits better.

Instead of talking about everyones hot wife why don’t we talk about everyones ex-hot wife or hot ex-wife you can choose, for the children.

Why is the State telling local governments how much they can tax, spend or serve their citizens? Why is the State getting between me and my local government? Imagine if the federal government told Georgia how much it could tax and spend.
Let the people craft the government they want. As citizen and a voter, I have more control over local government than any other. I get to vote on 28% of the County Commission. I get to vote on 0.8% of the General Assembly. This proposal by the speaker will reduce my control over government, not increase it.

What differentiates a “progressive Dem” from a “regular Dem?”
Erick 03.04.08 at 10:02 pm
Bill, a progressive Dem still thinks revolution is a viable method to bring about the workers’ paradise.

When a party controls a legislative body,
and the Speaker fails to deliver his own people on the cornerstone legislation of his political career…
Why should he remain as speaker?
Chris Farris 03.05.08 at 8:07 am
Ms,
Well, these constitutional amdendments require 2/3rds majority to pass. Glenn needs about 30 Dems to vote for the bill.
