Stick it to Clayton County

Sonny has a bill.

Voters in school districts that lose accreditation would have an opportunity to oust members of their school board in a referendum, under legislation being pushed by Gov. Sonny Perdue.

The bill is clearly aimed at the troubled Clayton County school system which is facing a loss of accreditation that could make it ineligible for federal funding and harm the ability of students there to get into college or qualify for scholarship money.
