Harbin Stands Up

And he has the authority to do something about the education cuts.

Gov. Sonny Perdue’s budget proposal reduces education spending by $141 million for the coming year, but state Rep. Ben Harbin, the chairman of the Appropriations Committee, will announce today his opposition to the latest round of cuts.

The Evans legislator will be joined by the Georgia School Boards Association and other education advocacy groups during a news conference at the state Capitol.
