Ninth District GOP is angry

The Ninth District GOP is *the* Republican district in the state. 23 of 24 legislators in the Ninth District are Republican. Mike Evans is the DOT representative for the 9th District. Evans is largely supported down there. Tom Graves and others the Speaker punished are from the 9th District.

And they ain’t happy as a result.

The 9th District GOP met and passed a resolution 25-1 condemning the Speaker’s actions.

He might just want to avoid the 9th District. Of course, the 9th District probably will not be getting any more state dollars now either.

  1. Philly says:

Glenn Richardson and his enforcers need to understand that they can be voted out of power… Richardson comes off as arrogant…

  2. DoubleDawg3 says:

I wish the 9th GOP officials would pass a resolution condemning the Rep’s that went along with the Speaker’s little plan b/c they aren’t willing to stand up for what is right. That’ll never happen though.

  3. Brian from Ellijay says:

Rick it was voted on by secret ballot. The effort was led by Hall, Pickens, Walker, and several other counties who had already passed resolutions at their respective county party GOP meetings.

Senators Jack Murphy and Lee Hawkins were also in attendance.

  4. SouthGaDawg says:

Good for the 9th. Its amazing how arrogant the Speaker is. Now, he’s even using his power to secretly get a divorce with his former law partner as the Judge sealing the records. Wonder what’s in there about his affair with the lobbyist?
