History’s Greatest Monster Tries to Unite Baptists

Jimmy Carter is trying to bring Baptists together for more unity, harmony, ebony, and ivory. I’ll spare you my political commentary. But I will say this much about the event — I have several good friends in attendance and involved in the event. All of them tell me that the event has fallen far short of the 20,000 attendees being reported.

  1. Jace Walden says:

Yes, Erick, that makes perfect sense.

History’s greatest monster was certainly not a guy like Hitler, who killed over 6 Million Jews…nah.

It’s not Joseph Stalin or Che Guevara or Fidel Castro or Osama Bin Laden or any other raving murderous maniac who has ever lived…

Nah, it’s Jimmy Carter. He made gas prices go high.

Thank you for reminding of exactly why I left the GOP…I was considering voting for a Republican other than Ron Paul, but you just convinced me to write Paul another check.

You idiots really need some perspective.

erik erikson destroys any credibility on this site – to say something like that about Jimmy Carter? – especially with eriksons WAY off the table right wing propaganda – readers of this site – get rid of erik erikson and do the citizens of GA a favor – sheeesh

  3. GOPeach says:

Uh- I thought Jimmy Carter QUIT BEING BAPTIST because the would not let WOMEN be PASTORS.

I happen to agree with him on this by the way. There are lots of really good women pastors. Nothing in the Bible says that WOMEN should NOT be pastors.

  4. Icarus says:

“readers of this site – get rid of erik erikson and do the citizens of GA a favor – sheeesh”

Umm, MM, I’m not sure you understand exactly how the world works around here.

  5. GrandOleDawg says:

“Greatest Monster” is a bit much. I prefer “History’s Worst Democratically Elected Leader”

  6. jsm says:

I Timothy 3:2 is pretty clear about pastors being men. It would be better to just say you don’t believe it.

  7. michaellmcgill says:

well — now I’ve been called an idiot by the best of them – get a clue – I’ll just delete this site from my RSS feed and work my ass off right here in Macon to help ppl realize who this guy is – the weird thing is – the guy that writes this stuff thinks he’s a decent person – now that’s irony

  8. michaellmcgill says:

wait – bait goes both ways? uuumm – now I’ ve been called an idiot by a guy that represents me on city council – I bet I get great mileage on that one – lol

  9. GrandOleDawg says:

Gordon Brown is having a bad go of it over in jolly ole England, but he’s not quite to that point 😉

  10. As a Mercer alum, I’m disgusted by William Underwood’s ideological tongue-kissing with Jimmy Carter. I don’t blame Mercer for breaking free of the GBC. They often overreached. However, Mercer (via Underwood) ran from the politicized GBC into the waiting arms of left-wingers like Jimmy Carter, Al Gore, and Bill Clinton (all speakers at the NBC). I just find the whole thing troubling.
