Governor Perdue’s State of the State Address.

I’m going to try and live blog the State of the State address using something called “Cover It Live.” It may work or it may not. Be sure to check back at 2 pm. and join in the conversation.

UPDATE: Let me know what you think of the “Cover it Live” system. Post your comments below. I’d like to hear your feedback.

  1. Most user-friendly liveblogging software I’ve come across. Discussed it just now with an online enthusiast and he said the only possible drawback would be from a business perspective — you don’t all those tasty page view refreshes the cyber-circulation managers adore — but it was a great way to run it.

Now if only GPB could get some more servers so the governor’s didn’t sound like Max Headroom.

    Good job.

I’ve never really understood the notion of “live blogging” in the first place. It’s always seemed like a throwback to IRC or live chat rooms… only shoehorned into a clunky browser-blog model that doesn’t really work as well. I’ve always thought that “live blogging” would work better as a live chat room, with the chat room’s transcript posted online once the event is over. This seems to be exactly what this software does… pretty good stuff.
