After an article I read the other day about ice machines in restaurants (blech), this cheers me up.

Inspection scores are dropping at many restaurants as Georgia’s new health rules take effect. But enforcement varies by county, a situation the new code was supposed to eliminate.

Scores have dropped 7 percent in Gwinnett, Newton and Rockdale counties compared with the same period last year, says Vernon Goins, a spokesman for the East Metro Health District.

    I’m guessing I read a similar article that stated ice-machines are far less sanitary than toilet bowls.

    This just grosses me out. It’s one of those “what I don’t know won’t hurt me” kind of things. I’ve never been made sick by ice — I think — but now I will!
