Bill Parcells could become the Atlanta Falcons’ vice president of football operations, a role that would put him in charge of finding the team’s next coach.
Parcells is considering an offer to join the team’s front office, a person familiar with the negotiations said on condition of anonymity because talks were ongoing.
The New York Daily News reported Wednesday that Parcells is on the verge of accepting the job, with only a few minor details to be worked out. In a story on its Web site, the paper said a deal could be completed later in the day with Falcons owner Arthur Blank.

Is is to late to add “running the GA House of Representatives” to his job discription?

The Parcells blueprint: Takeover a really crappy team, bring it back to life, then suddenly screw the fans and team by suddenly leaving. Parcells is a decent coach, but he rubs people the wrong way at times. As a Patriots fan, i was glad to see him go after 1996 in spite of taking us to the playoffs. That said, he’ll make the Falcons competitive.

Parcell’s says “nevermind”.
I’m sure he’s always wanted to coach in the SEC, too…
