Krok fired, Cain goes full time

Chris Krok has been fired by WSB:

Chris Krok is gone from WSB-AM after two years as a night-time host. He had been groomed to be a possible replacement for either Clark Howard or Neal Boortz if either chose to step down. But that was clearly not to be.

Krok, whose last job was in Minneapolis, focused intensely on local issues and was big on the anti illegal discrimination front, holding two raucous public rallies earlier this year.

But Herman Cain will be going on the air five days a week:

Pete Spriggs confirmed Wednesday afternoon that Krok is out. He said Herman Cain, a black conservative talk show host who airs a weekly show on Saturday for WSB and subs for Boortz, will start a night-time talk show five days a week on January 2. Spriggs wouldn

    I LOVE HERMAN CAIN!

But…. I hope to see Chris Kroc find a new place in media. … Maybe 99X would be a great fit … or the Cable TV Show – CURRENT!

I think Herman Cain is a great guy and a great public speaker BUT his radio shows are horribly boring. I will miss the Chris Krok show.

Love to see Herman get a full-time slot! I voted for him for Senator and have been supporting him for a while.

I have mixed feelings on Krok being let go. Sometimes I enjoyed his show but sometimes he just got way too childish with all the hollering and playing obnoxious sound clips over and over and over.

I would love to see Cain’s show boot Savage. That man has no place on WSB. He comes across as the most unhappy, bitter, know-it-all I have ever had the displeasure to listen to. The only reason I ever listen is because in Atlanta OTP he is almost the only thing on AM you can get! His biggest claim to fame is giving left-wingers a poster child to point at for right-wing extremism, though in reality he is just a radical IMO. I hope he is gone from WSB completely!

I agree with Sugar Hill Dad: Herman Cain is a smart man and is very insightful. But his show is terribly dull and his near monotone delivery is like listening to Gregorian Chants. I hope he’ll step it up full-time and it will work.

Krok was awful. Good Riddance and Good Luck!

  5. Thanks Doug, i knew we could count on you but unfortunately we are changing the bid process. Details coming later and we might even throw in or auction off simultaneously or separately, a First Game autographed foul ball from the first ever game of the Macon Music Baseball Team. Then again we might wait on that til one of the players hits the Major Leagues.

So for now, just consider this to be like a Glenn Tax of Georgia Auction. Once we get the new rules set up, we’ll change them as we go along and make a lot of noise along the way.

Stay tuned Doug, your bid is first on the list.

HERMAN, DROP ME AN EMAIL, WE HAVE SOME CONSPIRING FOR A GOOD CAUSE TO DO HERE… WE CAN ANNOUNCE THE WINNER ON YOUR SHOW IN JANUARY…
