The senior pastor at Alpharetta First Baptist Church has been charged with simple assault and obstruction of a 911 call after a fight with his wife.
Deacon Jonathan Wilson says Jeff Witcher is on administrative leave with pay until further notice. Witchier has been the leader of the 1,500-member church in metro Atlanta since 2003.
