Latest Georgia poll (not SV)

Fox 5 and Rasmussen Reports have released a new poll that suggests that Georgia is in play for Hillary Clinton.

Giuliani 48%
Clinton 44%

Giuliani 51%
Obama 37%

Thompson 47%
Clinton 44%

Thompson 48%
Obama 39%

There is much more of a gap for Democrats to close against Senator Saxby Chambliss.

Chambliss 52%
Cardwell 36%

Chambliss 55%
Jones 32%

Chambliss 54%
Knight 30%

Josh Lanier was not polled, nor was Tax Hike Mike.

    Seems weird that Guiliani polls higher in Georgia, and I’m somewhat surprised by Obama’s numbers (though I suspect if he were the nominee, they’d rise somewhat).

    Still a solid red state though.

    By those numbers it isn’t as solid as it was. I’m sure that in the end a Republican would still win Georgia, but with numbers like that the Republican candidate is going to have to spend more money than they are accustomed to in order to keep a state that should be an easy win, and that means less money for those swing states. Still early, though.

    i think that poll is more distrust of rudy and unfamiliarity w/ thompson than love for clinton–that 44% is probably her ceiling –i can’t imagine anyone not having an opinion of her at this point–the gop nominee will still get 54-55% in ga w/out breaking a sweat…
