Travis Fain has a write up on Erick f’n Erickson:
Local attorney, blogger, political consultant, Macon city councilman-elect and title monger Erick Erickson made news this week in London when the Daily Telegraph named him the 69th most influential conservative in America.
The newspaper, which ranked the top 100 conservatives and liberals, put the founder of the well-known political blog www.redstate.com ahead of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Fox News host Bill O’Reilly.
But, more importantly, he came in two spots above martial arts legend Chuck Norris. We fear this bodes trouble for Erickson. Norris, according to www.chucknorrisfacts.com, is the second leading cause of death in America. His chief export is pain, primarily delivered via the roundhouse kick.
And “anytime someone is elected president in the United States, they must ask permission from Chuck Norris to live in the White House. The reason for this is because Chuck Norris has won every general, state, and local election since 1777. He just allows others to run the country in his place.”
Erickson said the potentially deadly honor was unexpected, and that he didn’t know about it until his e-mail inbox filled up with congratulations.
“If I were really that influential, I should have been able to kill the hotel by now,” Erickson said, referring to the ongoing controversy over the city’s convention center hotel.
Erickson has been working against that hotel deal to little avail, perhaps because he has not asked for Norris’ help.
