The Big Day Is Coming

From the Brunswick News:

The traditional fall colors of red and black will be the most popular this weekend across the Golden Isles as University of Georgia fans begin their annual occupation of the area.

Bulldog fans are everywhere and are a welcome sight to businesses.

And for good reason. The historic Georgia versus Florida rivalry game, set for 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Jacksonville, generates $1 million a day in Brunswick and the Golden Isles, tourism officials estimate.

So, the poll of the day:

  1. Jen says:

Counting this one, I will have gone to 10 of the last 11 games. And how many wins for the Dawgs? 2.

But it’s always a good time!

  2. JasonW says:

As a native Jacksonvillian, I can definitely say HELL NO as my poll response. I would never leave my house or go anywhere on GA/FLA day. With all the construction going on, traffic will rival Atlanta Rushhour traffic, but with drivers far worse. (Yes, thats possible). Also, for those of you going, leave 2 hours before you think you should, and when it comes to stoplights, remember that Green means Go, Yellow means Go Faster, and Red means the next 5 go. πŸ™‚

  3. Brian Laurens says:

Who would want to watch Georgia get whipped by Florida–well, I am a Tech fan- lets go Buzz and Bill!

  4. Icarus says:

It is always a great day to be a Georgia Bulldog. Some days are just better than others.

Today is one of those days.

  5. Icarus says:

I’m sorry, excuse me again, one more time.

    Just wanted to point out,

It always, ALWAYS, sucks to be a conflicted, bitter man like Spurrier.

I return you now to your jean short wearing, slide rule manipulating activites…
