Talk about a screw up.

There are plenty of candidates, but there probably will be no city elections in McIntyre next month because of errors in advertisements for the election and on absentee ballots.

City Clerk Pam Roberts said this morning that the city is waiting for a Wilkinson County Superior Court judge to rule on rescheduling the election, possibly in February to coincide with Georgia’s presidential primary.

Roberts said the small Wilkinson County city has two city council districts. District 1 has two city council seats, and District 2 has three seats. But in the ads and on the absentee ballots, those numbers were reversed.
