Better story in the Fulton County Daily Report 4 months ago…

“Wilson’s lawyer, B.J. Bernstein, called the Widner ruling the highest hurdle to getting Wilson out of prison, a goal she has been tenacious in pursuing.”
If she is so tenacious, why doesn’t she stop doing newpaper interviews and take the 1st offender plea offered to her client which will clean his record once he is off probation?
Regardless, this is an empty article from the AJC. The Supreme Court of Georgia ignored the law with Marcus Dixon and they can just as easily ignore it with Mr. Wilson, regardless of the timing of past decisions.

Part of the problem with the Widner case out there is that his current defense team, comprised on a Mercer professor and her 3L students, is waiting for the GA Supreme Court to change its mind and get the federal judge to free Widner.

Which Mercer Professor? That twit Daryl Dantzler or the much more professional and skilled Sarah Gerwig-Moore?
Is Scott Key off the case totally for Widner?

Rogue - did you not read the link?
It’s Gerwig-Moore. I’d imagine that Scott Key is off the case now that they are claiming him to be ineffective.

The Daily Report link? No, sorry. (You got me!)
I wasn’t aware that they were going for the ineffective angle. All questions now answered….thanks!

And, shocking, B.J. Bernstein is on CNN now talking about Brian Nichols! Imagine her being in front of a camera…that never happens!
The Comma Guy 10.15.07 at 11:17 pm
Seriously, what does BJ have to offer to anything dealing with Brian Nichols?
I wonder who would win in a footrace to a camera - Al Sharpton or BJ….

State Supreme Court overturns Wilson’s conviction. BJ’s for everyone except Sen. Craig
