This is awesome

Pastor Dan becomes Bishop Dan.

A Macon minister has been elected bishop of the Episcopalian diocese of Nevada.

Dan Edwards, rector of St. Francis Episcopalian Church, said he was chosen Friday for the church’s top job in that state from a field of six other candidates.

Hmm… I thought that was Catholicism. I was raised Episcopalian, but did a lot of seeking around when I was in my 20’s and briefly converted to Catholism (*technically* I suppose I’m still Catholic, since I haven’t joined any other churches and never formally renounced it).

Back when I was living in south Georgia, an evangelical girl with a crush on me was chatting religion and trying to extend an olive branch by showing genuine interest. She asked, “Catholicism… that’s KIND OF like Christianity, isn’t it?” She wasn’t be sarcastic or mean, she was trying to be genuinely nice and inclusive. I still laugh when I think about that.
