Handed down in Glynn County.

On the seventh day, Stacey Ian Humphreys was sentenced to death.

A Glynn County jury Sunday morning reached a verdict in the penalty phase of Humphreys’ murder trial after 22 hours of deliberation over three days, recommending death.

The AJC will no doubt be running an expose on how unfair all of this is soon.

Now, wait a second. I don’t think the AJC’s series made a judgement about the death penalty. All it said was that it is not being applied fairly and uniformly. AND that the justices aren’t doing their due diligence in supporting the decision for death. If there’s gonna be a death penalty at least make sure it’s done right.
