Ahmadinejad Not Welcome At Ground Zero? Try Edelman!

Poor President of Iran… he’s coming to visit the States, do a little debating, raise a few nuclear weaponry funds, shop early for Christmas. But Ahmadinejad has been thwarted from his whacked photo-op intentions to lay a wreath at Ground Zero. Official New York surely doesn’t want him to darken their doorstep downtown.

Silly dude! Didn’t anyone tell him he just needed to hire Edelman? They excel at fake PR. They’re the network. They Da Man.

Whatcha want to bet Edelman could get Ahmadinejad the Ground Zero wreath laying event he’s craving? Edelman thing doesn’t work out, try Caren West. Heck, she’ll even toss in a fake column in The Sunday Paper for ‘ya too, at no extra charge. What a deal.

Come on Ahmadinejad. Think outside the Axis of Evil!

C’mon Spacey … getting on a PR firm for doing…PR? Wow. Imagine a PR firm trying to spin things. Who woulda thunk it?

As for Ahmadinejad: I woulda let him lay his wreath at Ground Zero and asked every relative of a 9/11 victim to show up and encircle him and simply ask him for support in ending terrorism. Maybe it would make his hear three times as big!

Or maybe he’s a son of a bitch.

Yeah, EAVDad, that’s why they’d be perfect for Ahmadinejad. Guess you didn’t “get it” the first go-round. Come back when you’ve had your second cup, okay?

I got the “speaking out of the side of your mouth” snarkiness. But is it really a surprise to anyone that PR firms use blogs, wikipedia and youtube to advocate for their clients?

You seem to think this is somehow an evil practice, but it’s what they do. The problem is that the folks that cover Wal-Mart didn’t look close enough before writing about these blogs.

But I will have a second cup! (BTW — were you at the Standards the other day for lunch? Never met you in person, but only know you from your pic!)

  4. SpaceyG says:

Naw, I’m not hip enough for the Standard. That was likely some way-cool chick who spends healthy, quality time away from blogs. Must have been a Krystals where you spotted me.

I wonder if the same dis-courtesy would be extended to any member of the Saudi Royal Family?*

*15 of 19 alleged hijackers were Saudi citizens.

    EDIT: err…oops…

OCT. 11, 2001. Saudi Arabian Prince Alwaleed bin Talal bin Abdul Aziz Alsaud attended a memorial service at Ground Zero with Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who later rejected a $10 million check from the prince because he criticized the U.S. government’s Middle East policy.

He and some buddies could meet Ahmadinejad at Ground Zero! “Eh, I got your Fatwah right ‘ere”!

And Spacey: Bloggers are cool and the Standard has wi-fi. Maybe you’re just too cool for the Standard!
