I was backing Steve Bell, who came in second to Lonzy Edwards.
It is third time lucky for Lonzy Edwards.
Edwards, a local attorney and pastor who has run for office and lost on two other occasions, finally tasted electoral success winning Bibb County’s special election Tuesday night by narrowly avoiding a runoff.
Funny, but I had calculated that Terry Tripp would be the one with the lead. Enough credible people told me credibly that she was the Robert Brown candidate in the race and she’d already been elected in that area for the School Board, it just seemed she’d do better than she did.
In fact, Tripp flamed out. Robert Brown’s alleged favorites have all gotten wiped out lately. Very interesting.
