Condolences to the Congressman and his family on the passing of his mother.

MOBILE, Ala. –
Mary Elizabeth Marshall, whose seven children include Press-Register Editor Michael Marshall and U.S. Rep. Jim Marshall, D-Ga., has died after an extended illness. She was 89.

Marshall, a native of Smithville, N.J., who died Tuesday at a Mobile hospital, is survived by her husband of 60 years, retired Maj. Gen. Robert C. Marshall of Montrose, four sons, three daughters, 19 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
