Ga. Association of Realtors faces big fine.

Apparently they forgot to disclose $400k worth of expenditures.

Among the contributions not disclosed was $216,000 that went to an “independent committee” that ran media advertising in support of Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle, according to campaign reports. The association

And the only person who will get fired for this will be some lowly secretary or something, because “she forgot to submit the disclosure forms.”

Right. Just confirms my belief that almost all lobbyists are complete scumbags.

well…they got what they wanted atleast. If they are willing to not disclose those large expenditures to get some friendly republicans in office, surely they are ok with the fine. The fine is not high enough however. If the punishment is not high enough to prevent the crime from occuring again, why even bother?

Oh no Bill, the vast majority of politicians are scumbags as well. I just singled out lobbyists since that’s what the thread was about, as well as for the fact that lobbyists are the single biggist impediment to reforming our tax system.

I liked the Georgia Association of Relators, Buzz! I thought that (now changed spelling in the headline) was funny & deliberate…. alas.
