Tick Tock. Tick Tock.

Paging all parents.

Time is running out for parents this school year to take advantage of a law that would cut them a financial break in moving their special-needs child to a private school.

The deadline for students to receive the Georgia Special Needs Scholarship for the 2007-08 school year is Monday. They must be attending their chosen school on that day, as well.

The Georgia legislature approved a bill in the 2007 session that creates the scholarship, allowing parents to apply for money that would help at least offset tuition rates at private schools that have been approved to offer such educational services.
