The press release that never was…

A few members of the 216 Group recently made a trip to Washington, DC to meet with their national counterpart, the Republican Study Committee:

Members of the 216 Policy Group, led by state Rep. Tom Graves, met with the House Republican Study Committee on Capitol Hill this week to gather ideas on how to effectively promote the principles of reducing taxes, cutting government and promoting personal responsibility.

Graves (R-Ranger), and state Reps. Melvin Everson (R-Snellville), Martin Scott (R-Rossville) and Bobby Franklin (R-Marietta) were invited to the closed-door, weekly meeting of the Republican Study Committee, the conservative caucus of the House of Representatives.
They were introduced by Congressman Lynn Westmoreland (R-Georgia). Also in attendance were RSC members Congressmen Tom Price, Jack Kingston and Phil Gingrey.
