Back to school (with a purpose)

Henry goes back today, Gwinnett next week, and I’m told Newton went back last Monday. I’d like to say to all the school kids not reading this: Ha Ha.

On Saturday I wandered up to Mall of Georgia for the Lt. Governor’s Charity’s back-to-school event. Presence with a Purpose helped get 50 kids back to school in style. Salon Stockholm gave each of the kids a hair-cut. Wal-Mart donated 50 backpacks and school supplies, and each kid got a $25 Wal-Mart gift card for new clothes.

Its refreshing to see a politician putting their money where their mouth is and helping people. Kudos to Casey Cagle.

(Thanks to Buzz for taking that picture. More are here)
