The Ports Authority is raking in dough.

The Georgia Ports Authority says it handled more than 2.3 million 20-foot containers in the year that ended June 30 and set a new record for containers moved through its Garden City Terminal.

That’s up 14.5 percent from the previous year and further cements the port of Savannah’s status as the nation’s fourth-busiest and fastest-growing container terminal.
