Judge Bryant Culpepper will be leaving the Superior Court bench at the end of October to begin work with a Macon law firm.
Culpepper has submitted a letter of resignation to Gov. Sonny Perdue, notifying the governor of his intent. His last day on the job will be Oct. 31.
Culpepper is a second-generation Superior Court judge for the Macon Judicial Circuit. He was first elected a judge in 1982. Before that, he served four terms as a state representative.
