Down in Macon

Yet again the Board of Elections is unable to get its act together and actually, you know, count votes.
It is 8:15 p.m. and one precinct is in.

Vic, this is amazing. They apparently don’t know how to get their sh*t in gear. And this is small potatoes compared to next year.

If you can find the Bibb County Board of Elections “Board Members” listed on the site, i’ll tip my hat. They seem to hate public attention, scruitiny and appear to have hidden their contact info before they goofed yet another election.

But from what i’ve observed, Ms Carr is dedicated and works her fingers to the bone down there. I think the board hamstrings her efforts.

Georgia just spent 54 million plus on electronic voting equipment, this is ridiculous.

43 precints? Aren’t there 28 in the city of Macon? Does the number reflect a lot of 0 vote precints or is it over at 28?

I enjoy visiting with ya and appreciate a good pair of shoes as much as the next guy but your strip club in every backyard fixation has shot you in the foot. Plus, unlike Ted Nugent, we only trap and relocate animals that get run out of surrounding, clear cut development areas which our Elected Officals
sign off on. And i still have hearing damage from the circa 1970 Ted Nugent & the Amboy Dukes concer at the Macon City Auditorium. :-)

Sure are a lot of multi candidate non runoffs shaping up tonight! talk to ya soon.

They handled it poorly. There are still 3 precincts to go. One of which is absentees and I think provisionals are counted separately.

Anyway, they need to improve the system. It is rediculous for them to take so long when a computer is counting the votes for the.

Someone told me that early votes are counted last. So, are their early votes still floating out there. I always thought that they were counted first.

11:05p.m. Is it them or my computer? BOE site stuck reporting 29 of 43 precincts. TV saying 100% reporting. How many Absentee Ballots are out?

Vic, there are 29 precincts. The BOE lists the country precincts in with the city precincts.

bah, I hate writting comments on the road. My spelling is bad enough.

Has anyone ever been involved with a count. What do they do down there that takes so long. They should be forced to have cameras in the counting area so people can watch them as they do it. Maybe then we can figure out what takes so long.

Doug, your spelling is great, don’t change a thing. I think you summed up the entire election night in one word:
