With several precincts in Richmond County, and a few other at large precincts out, Broun only leads by a few hundred votes. It may have been premature to call it just quite yet.

4 percent yet to report, Whitehead trails by 277.

We might have to wait for overseas ballots.

McElhannon will never live this one down. How can the campaign manager leave town for three weeks before the end of the election? Whitehead ought to sue him for neglect.

I’m not a voter in the district…but this is embarassing for everyone in the state. MSNBC, CNN, etc are going to eat this up…

Think of all the UGA lovers cackling in delight tonight

Broun’s people have proven that hard work, not money, get’s the job done! Congratulations to all!!

Observer, considering Whitehead shoved Joel aside in favor of Charlie Norwood’s hacks, I doubt he’d have a leg to stand on.

Just how long ago was he shoved aside? If in the last few weeks, it’s hard to imagine that a few months of having Joel and then him leaving at the end would have cost that much support. If Joel was there for some time you’d figure he had already built up a decent campaign. If leaving recently crashed this house of cards that bad then what really held it together to begin with?

Just got in from a hard day in ATHENS!

Finally … the sweet taste of victory!

Thank You Lord! :)
