It’s About Time

I’ve been waiting for Atlanta to get this program.

A program that lets airline passengers pay to go through security gates more quickly will be tested at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport by the fall. The airport will begin soliciting proposals from companies to test the registered traveler program in a few weeks, Airport General Manager Ben DeCosta said.

Well that’s a good idea, God knows there’s no such thing as an indigent terrorist. Extensive background check? I doubt it. Look, airport security is a hassle, but it’s better than the alternative, aircraft falling from the sky. I’m just tired of whiney travellers complaining about security or how they were embarrased by TSA because they were pulled aside. Get over, it’s a priviledge to fly, not a right….that’s why you’re required to show a PHOTO ID, right? đŸ˜‰

I understand Erick, but we have that segment in every security/military/police force. That’s just human nature for some people. And don’t forget, the inverse is true too; too many people feeling like they’re being singled out or victimized by someone who’s sincerely trying to carry out his duty.
