You should just go ahead and create a separate page here at PP to host all the Fred posts. Let’s dedicate a whole area of the site to him.

As a lawyer please help me understand Thompson answer to the question if he was a lobbyist for abortion rights?

Sean Hannity asked this question of Fred Thompson on his radio show.

Can you please help me understand if he was a lobbyist for abortion rights?

I am confused because this is what Erick told me.

I’ll make one attempt to translate Erick’s lawyer trickery language into middle GA english, but the short answer is, “no, I can’t, I wasn’t there.”

Erick’s point is that there are no records of any kind that prove or even alledge FDT was a lobbyist for abortion rights. You merely have two people, predisposed to be against FDT, who have made an allegation. Thompson is put in the position of having to prove something isn’t true, which is much harder than proving something is.

In a courtroom, filled with tricky lawyers, a person is innocent until proven guilty. In politics, people are guilty until proven innocent.

Since I only occasionally pretend to be a lawyer, I’ll only bill 1/2 Erick’s rate for that answer.

One more question please does Fred Thompson statement count as a denial or did he admit he was a lobbyist for abortion rights? Thompson is a lawyer and it is hard to understand them at times!

    This is what Fred said.
