Forget about Lucas Running

After the Dems made it clear that they’d vote for the Dem and not the independent, David Lucas has backed down from his threat to run for Mayor.

State Rep. David Lucas will not run for Macon mayor this year, he said at a news conference this morning.

Lucas, D-Macon, said he considered getting into the mayor’s race as an independent but decided he didn’t want to “challenge the system” and split local Democrats. Lucas said he has not decided who he will support in the race.

What a punk. I thought smart politicians usually lined up support before making fools of themselves.

You do the hokey pokey and you turn yourself around – that’s what it’s all about!
