Isakson to replace the late Sen. Thomas on Ethics Committee

According to a release:

“We were all very saddened by the death of our friend and colleague Craig Thomas, and I am deeply honored the Republican Leader would ask me to fill his shoes on this critically important committee,” Isakson said. “Ethical wrongdoing by members of Congress should not be tolerated, and I promise to bring the same integrity and principles that Craig Thomas brought to the Senate Ethics Committee.”

“Senator Isakson is well respected as a fair and dedicated leader who will serve us well in his new and important role as a member of the Senate Ethics Committee,” said McConnell.

Sen. Thomas (R-WY) passed away last week after a lengthy bout with leukemia.

    Congrats to Senator Isakson.

Anyone care to put the over/under on how long it takes IndyInjun to post here that he doesn’t trust Johnny’s ethics, that he’s not a conservative, and that all Republican elected officials should be replaced, their children sold into slavery, their houses burned, and their spouses forced to work in a spa near Erick’s house?

Hahahaha. As a matter of fact, there are several within a mile of my house. Plenty of places to spread the forced labor (no pun intended).

The irony is most Members despise being on the ethics committee and consider it a burden.

    We covered irony last week.

It’s like you have 10,000 spoons and all you need is a knife,

Or it’s like you’re Genarlow Wilson, and your attorney’s name is BJ.
