Is Paul Broun, Jr. (Pea)Nuts?

(Yeah, the title was just too good to pass up. Thanks, Katie!)

Ouch. Paul Broun is not having a very good Thursday here on Peach Pundit. First the incoherent attack on Whitehead’s immigration views, then losing the NRA endorsement to the same, and now this extremely clever cartoon which highlights what seems to be a fairly serious skeleton in Dr. Broun’s closet.

So, new question of the day….does anybody have any pro-Broun info they want to send in? (Use the tipline or send to my first name (at) Peach Pundit.)

Bueller? Bueller?

Not always, and not so much now. In 1990, Broun was pro-choice, wanted more aid to farmers. But he was running against a conservative democrat. Broun even criticized the conservative for supporting cuts in the size of the federal work force. Broun was also endorsed by the League of Conservation Voters. And he was proud of it. Front page news.

Then he went strict constitutionalist and was pro-life and against everything. He and Hatfield took turns.

Now he seems almost moderate. I guess he is our answer to Mitt Romney.

Federalist, how intimate are you with Paul Broun’s personal reading history?

Since you’re the authority on what Dr. Broun has and has not read, I’d like to ask you a few things — like, has he read Harry Potter?

  3. Federalist says:

Have you heard Broun talk about the Constitution? I have heard him defame that document 4 times now, and it pains me…if you ever get the chance…ask him about the “necessary and proper” clause.

I’m still waiting to hear if he’s read Harry Potter. Inquiring minds want to know, and you are, after all, the self-declared gatekeeper of knowledge of what Dr. Broun has or has not read.
