I’m a conservative, but if Saxby vacated his seat today, and the two going for it were Sonny Perdue and Roy Barnes…I’d choose Roy Barnes.

Oh, good grief. Saxby has already explained this. . . days ago.

For those who were actually listening to his speech on Saturday, he said that he and Johnny had been part of the discussion of the bill to get certain provisions placed into it. If those provisions weren’t included or were taken out, they wouldn’t vote for the final package.

What we really should be focusing on is the bill and not whether or not Johnny and Saxby are flip-flopping. I thought most of you wanted them to vote against the thing in the first place, so isn’t this good news?

My idea is that they should finally give us the enforcement that was promised back in 1986. It would be 21 years late, but that would be the best thing to do right now. We go that amensty of 1986. Now, at long last, give us the enforcement from that bill.

After the borders and ports are TIGHTLY and VERIFIABLY secured, we can talk about the rest. I’m sure hewould find that people would at least be more open to their discussion if that happened.

I helped craft this legislation but I won’t vote for it! That’s kind of pointless.

This is getting frustrated. If you’re at the table, helping write the bill, shouldn’t you be a little more committed and enthusiastic. I feel like Saxby is trying to have it both ways on this issue. It’s like he’s leaving himself an out.

In it’s form now, he supports the bill. Just say that. As long as it stays the way it’s going he’ll support the bill.

I don’t much care for the double talk that seems to be coming out of Saxby right now. BE CONSISTENT.

I think that might be what he is saying if you read the whole article. He wants the border provisions to remain in, but with the Democrats controlling the Senate, not to mention the House, the border provisions could easily be stripped out while the Dems pass only the amnesty provisions.
