Casey and the Senators will not override the Governor’s veto, thus sparing Sonny’s ego.
They will, however, take my advice and hammer out a supplemental between the Governor, House, and Senate leadership, then call a special session to get it approved quickly.

[UPDATED:] Correction here: Casey does not think thre are the [...]

Environmental activists oppose new power plant.
April 26th, 2007 · 18 Comments
The Albany Herald yesterday had this one sided story about a proposed 1200 megawatt power plant. The article is practically a press release for Environment Georgia. The story on WALB’s website was no better.
How about getting a quote from the people who want to build this plant? How about a [...]

I’m going to steal a Joel McElhannon email without asking him and pretend it is my post on this subject. (I’ve actually asked, but haven’t heard back, and I’m impatient)

live outside the district than live inside the district.
Candidates who legitimately live in [...]

Public housing protests

Remind me again why we apologized for eugenics? Stuff like this drives me irrationally crazy.
The protest was intended to focus attention on two issues: a requirement that able-bodied residents of public housing either work 30 hours a week or attend school; and the pending demolition of the last remaining public housing projects, which are [...]

A friend of mine sent me this video, I put up on YouTube for your viewing enjoyment.
This one…I made. My first shot at making a video.
If Cagle fails to deliver on this tax break, I imagine the first campaign videos in 2010 looking something like this (well, they’ll be, you know…good).

From the President Pro Tempore:
I believe that the next best thing to do is place any funds beyond the short-term critical emergency needs into the State’s reserve (or savings) account. It always has been the Republican philosophy that surplus funds in the budget should be used to fully fund our reserves, and then used [...]
