Vick misses flight.

Looks like he won’t be gracing Congress with his presence after all.

Vick was scheduled to arrive in Washington Monday night after playing in teammate Warrick Dunn’s charity golf tournament in Tampa. The flight from Tampa departed late forcing Vick to miss his connection through Atlanta, (Susan) Bass said.

He could not arrange a flight that would have landed in Washington in time for him to meet with lawmakers and receive an award from Afterschool Alliance for his foundation’s funding and support for alternative programs for youths outside of the classroom, Bass said.

Vick’s mother, Brenda Boddie, went in his place, Bass said.
