Another bill that could face a veto is HB 91, which requires agencies within the executive branch to provide an annual report to the legislature contracts of $50k or more. It also requires a “list of any employment or consultant contracts, whether or not in writing, under which the employee or consultant is to be compensated more than $20,000.00.” The bill also requires the State Auditor to supply the information to the legislature and I believe the information will be setup for the public to view online, similar to the financial reports for candidates for state office.
It seems like HB 91 would provide transparency to citizens, but I’m hearing rumors that Sonny Perdue
(D) (R) (WTF?) is threatening to veto the bill.
